Equipment Distribution Program (TEDP)
TEDP is for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or speech-impaired
or have difficulty communicating on the telephone. The equipment distributed to
eligible individuals in Alaska will be Ultratec Miniprint 425 TTY model with
direct connect line, turbo code, auto-answer and printer features.
Individuals interested in the TEDP can be directed to the CSD of Alaska /
Alaska Relay branch office. For individuals to be eligible for the TEDP, you
have to:
1) Be an Alaska Resident
2) Have a significant hearing or speech loss
3) Have low income (Social Security Income (SSI) or Alaska Public Assistance)
Individual interested in applying for the TEDP is required to go through the
process as following:
1) Application for Alaska Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program

2) Certification of Hearing/Speech/Visual Impairment for TEDP

(To be completed by one of the following):
a) Licensed Physician
b) Certified Audiologist
c) Alaska Department of Education
d) Alaska Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
3) Copy of Social Security Income (SSI) or Alaska Public Assistance (APA)
letter.
4) Copy of Alaska Driver's License or Alaska ID
5) Condition of Acceptance of Telecommunications Equipment
